Greener Ethiopia has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Qebena Special Woreda Administration to strengthen collaboration in environmental conservation, ecosystem restoration, climate resilience, and sustainable community development.

The agreement establishes a framework for the two institutions to work together on community-based environmental initiatives, including tree planting, land and ecosystem restoration, sustainable agriculture, natural resource protection, environmental awareness, and community mobilization. These efforts are designed to address local environmental challenges while creating sustainable solutions that can provide lasting benefits to communities.

The partnership will also encourage greater community participation in environmental protection and restoration activities. By engaging local communities, government institutions, youth, and other relevant stakeholders, the initiative aims to promote shared responsibility for protecting natural resources and improving the local environment.

The collaboration reflects a common commitment to building healthier, greener, and more resilient communities while supporting sustainable livelihoods. It also provides an opportunity to strengthen locally driven environmental initiatives and contribute to broader climate resilience and sustainable development efforts.

Greener Ethiopia values the important role of the Qebena Special Woreda Administration in supporting community-led development and environmental conservation. The organization looks forward to working closely with the administration to implement impactful initiatives and advance shared environmental and sustainable development goals.
