Greener Ethiopia has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Wolaita Sodo City Administration to strengthen cooperation in environmental conservation, urban greening, climate resilience, and sustainable community development.
The agreement establishes a framework for joint action in key areas including urban tree planting, ecosystem restoration, development and protection of green spaces, environmental awareness, sustainable waste management, and community engagement. Through these initiatives, the partnership aims to improve the environmental conditions of Wolaita Sodo while creating healthier and more attractive urban spaces for residents.
The collaboration will place strong emphasis on community participation and awareness, recognizing the important role that residents, youth groups, local organizations, and other stakeholders play in protecting and improving the urban environment.
