Greener Ethiopia is pleased to announce the formation of the Qatbare Farmers Cooperative as part of its efforts to strengthen community-based development, sustainable agriculture, environmental conservation, and resilient livelihoods.
The formation of the cooperative brings farmers together to work collectively toward improving agricultural productivity, protecting natural resources, strengthening sustainable farming practices, and creating better economic opportunities for members and the wider community.
As part of this initiative, Greener Ethiopia and the Qatbare Farmers Cooperative have agreed to work together in supporting sustainable agricultural practices, environmental restoration, capacity building, community mobilization, and other activities that contribute to the long-term development of the farming community.
The collaboration will provide opportunities for farmers to exchange knowledge and experience, participate in training and practical activities, and adopt improved approaches to soil and water conservation, sustainable agriculture, ecosystem restoration, and climate resilience.
Through this partnership, Greener Ethiopia will work closely with the cooperative and its members to identify local challenges and develop practical, community-driven solutions that improve livelihoods while protecting the environment. The cooperative will also play an important role in encouraging collective action and strengthening farmers’ participation in sustainable development initiatives.
Greener Ethiopia recognizes the important contribution of organized farmer cooperatives in promoting sustainable livelihoods, strengthening local communities, and supporting environmental conservation. The organization looks forward to working closely with the Qatbare Farmers Cooperative to create lasting agricultural, environmental, and social impact.
This partnership represents a shared commitment to empowering farmers, promoting sustainable agriculture, protecting natural resources, and building resilient communities for a more sustainable future.
